The Story of the Masonic Clock

The Masonic Clock is the unique creation of RW
John Angelis, PGC.
As a Mason and Master wood carver, John
wanted to create something unique for his
Fraternity.  He first made many wood working
tools for use in the lodge degrees, but he
wanted to tackle a project that would be worthy
of his many talents.  He finally  decided on the
unique idea of a Masonic Clock which would
incorporate the many Masonic symbols and
ideas of Masonry.  His final creation was one of
stunning beauty which helps recall to each
persons’ mind the many Masonic Truths hidden
within it’s many symbols.

The Masonic Clock is 18” wide and 30” high and
was handcrafted by RW Angelis.  Previously
made clocks now grace the inside of many
lodge buildings across the United States and
one hangs inside the lodge room of the Grand
Lodge of New Jersey – a unique mark of
respect for this very talented Masonic artisan.
Previous clocks have sold for more than
$3,000.00.
Master Wood Carver

RW John emigrated from Greece and went to
work as a Master wood carver for the Steinway
Piano Company in New York City.  In this
capacity he created some of the most beautiful
and decorative wood carvings for the company’
s various piano lines, including their unique
grand pianos.

In 1977 John was asked to go to the White
House in Washington, in order to make repairs
on their one-of-a-kind Steinway grand piano.
Later, in recognition of his master craftsman
work, he received a letter of personal thanks
from the President and Mrs. Carter.
